Literacy Volunteers Tutors

LV-A tutors usually make a commitment to work with an adult learner once a week for at least a year. All tutoring is done in public meeting spaces such as the library and is learner-centered.

Tutor Training Workshops

Tutor Training consists of ten hours; held in two 4.5-hour workshops over the course of two days.

English Conversation Partners

Volunteers who would like to partner with an English learner should call Literacy Volunteers-Androscoggin to request an application and schedule an orientation interview with the Program Coordinator. You may also return the form below either by printing it and mailing it or saving it and returning it as an email attachment.
